Is there a website or such like that has off road routes/tracks available to download to a GPS system?

I think the wife is planning to get me one of these for my birthday, is it a something I will use & love or like that mini table football I bought (ie, great to play once, never used again)!

What can be fun in addition to the navigation is downloading the "tracks" and reviewing the trip....this can be done on either purchased software, most of the above, or Google Earth


However you can no longer extend time in the pub and tell the SO tht you took the long way home !
