Hello All,

Well I got a bike about a week ago now and I am looking for some insurance, mainly incase it gets stolen while in my shed.

Can any one recomend any companies to go with or provide me with some links.

Cheers in advance.

Tom

M&S household insurance is usually the best way to go, specific insurance for bikes is very very expensive.
  • I use cycleguard insurance, and my experiance is that their prices are very reasonable and you get extra cover that is not included in hopusehold insurance.

p.s. any legal types this is not an advert just opinion.

I put mine on my house insurance for a value of £1,500 that came to £8.53 for 10 months of the policy. That covers theft from anywhere as long as there is a chain and padlock or it's in a locked shed.

    I'm with NFU Mutual.
Now where's that "Get Out of Crash Free Card"

Home insurance is fine, but if you ever have to claim, that's your no claims discount screwed. If you can spring for the additional cost, I'd advise on a separate policy. I have mine with ETA - www.eta.co.uk. It's a dedicated bike insurance policy and it includes breakdown cover - you may never need it, but it's nice to have as a back-up
