Daytime Puncture Fairy

I just been out to check the bike's ok and found I've had a visit from the Puncture Fairy. Damn it!

I thought they were nocturnal beings who only visited by the light of the moon. Obviously I'm wrong.

Do other people suffer from daytime visits too?

I've had this too & even had witnesses.
It happened about 6 months ago when i used a Brompton to cycle to local station & then from Waterloo to my office.

Once folded, the Brompton would sit under my desk until going home.

On this day , it sat there from 8am until mid-afternoon i think , when suddenly a loud hissing started for about 10 seconds followed by a loud bang.

It certainly got the attention of everybody in our open-plan office !

Although I did have to fix the flat, for once I could do it indoors.

I think the problem was an old patch which hadn't been stuck down very well & decided to let go at that time.
