Ok so I'm not a scout leader or anything, but I am involved with the Air Training Corps and instead of taking the car just a couple miles I cycle there instead (I don't cycle to Okehampton for my St John Cadets however, I'm not that much of a nutter!) I regularly get the mickey taken out of me for turning up to parade in my cycle gear to the point where I have been renamed 'Lance Armstrong's missing twin' ! if ya saw me that's the last person I would be.
Anyone else involved with the cadets or scouts who regularly has the michael taken out of them for cycling....although I do think it is compulsory to have lilly white legs and knobbly knees in the Scouts, so we cyclists may well be welcome
Officers don't run, it's undignified and panics the men

Used to pedal to ACF with no known mickey taking. My brother does similar to CCF.

(and, if we want to be pedantic, it's 'dyb dyb dyb' since it's for 'do your best' [dob being 'do our best])
