Can't get stubborn crank arm off

I have removed the bolt and it's washer. The crank arm (Square hole) won't budge. Do I mallet it or what?
Cycling, it has it's ups and downs.

    Do you have a crank puller?

    Go buy one.

    have a read of parktools for how to remove crank arms.
