In a conundrum, My specialized Sx trail is currently in pieces as the old saint groupset is rather old/heavy and worn so amongst other parts i want to replace the whole drivetrain and im wondering whether i need to spend the extra money or not?
The new saint groupset looks amazing but I shouldn't buy it just because of the looks, so wondering whether to just get slx?
I've got an 06 sx trail with some zocchi z1 forks, not that bothered about weight really, use it for most types of riding including the odd ride around on the road, jumping, trails, freeride etc just stuff at bedgebury but I do take it on an annual ride to places like Wales (coed-y-brenin) and went to Innerleithen in scotland last year doing the freeride park and all the singletrack up there. I weigh about 13 stone so not mega heavy and I dont do huugeee jumps etc so what do you guys reckon? spend the £215 on SLX or extra on saint which comes to £330?
Cheers!
