shoes!

Hi guys.....I have been looking for a while at buying some MTB shoes (you know the ones that clip in) and i have found some good shimano pedals and speacilized shoes but i was just wondering if the shoes will clip straight into the pedals without having to buy any metal accessories or anything of the sort.

    Hi jat 08. The pedals should come with cleats which screw into the shoes. You should take care to position them correctly and you should be aware that they will probably be single release cleats that come as standard. This means you have to swivel your heel out to release but there are another type available and recommended for new users called multi release cleats. These allow release by movement in more than one direction, useful for those embarrassing forgetful moments.
