Rear mounted car rack

Can anyone give meany tips on a good car rack to buy, please? I think it's time to stop putting the bikes in the boot (although it does keep them snuggly).
I have a Fuel EX8 and a 5.5 and drive an old Avensis hatchback. Ideally I'd like a rear mounted rack that keeps the tow hitch free. I hear that Thule racks are good but don't know whether I'd need an adaptor for the bikes.
I know I should really go to a dealer and try but I'm very limited on time... sorry.

I got my Bones from these guys and still seems a cheap deal from searching on the net
is it easy to fit? i've been looking at getting one as i dont really want to shoe horn my bike into the back of my car (saloon) with the seats down etc
I've just posted this link in another thread, shows how it's fitted, I find it pretty easy to fit really. Had it fitted to a Fiat Brava, Citroen C8, Seat Cordoba and a Kia Picanto so it's versatile lol!

I had a problem with the thumb screws on the rack as they are only a flimsy plastic and one appeared stripped out of the box! I subsequently got in touch with the distributer ( paligap ) and they sent me a couple of spares but I'm still wary of them.
to the rats in the basement,
its not that far '
