Rear mounted car rack

Can anyone give meany tips on a good car rack to buy, please? I think it's time to stop putting the bikes in the boot (although it does keep them snuggly).
I have a Fuel EX8 and a 5.5 and drive an old Avensis hatchback. Ideally I'd like a rear mounted rack that keeps the tow hitch free. I hear that Thule racks are good but don't know whether I'd need an adaptor for the bikes.
I know I should really go to a dealer and try but I'm very limited on time... sorry.

Saris Bones. I bit more expensive than others though.

I've just posted this link in another thread, shows how it's fitted, I find it pretty easy to fit really. Had it fitted to a Fiat Brava, Citroen C8, Seat Cordoba and a Kia Picanto so it's versatile lol!

I've got a Saris Bones RS - its expensive but very good quality and easy to put on and take off. No more messing about with loads of bungee straps either.0

I found the rack easy to fit on my corsa, but I find it a struggle to fit my giant terrago on as the bike frame is quite small ( 16" I think) but I can fit my slightly larger hybrid ( kona dew de lux ) quite easily.
I had a problem with the thumb screws on the rack as they are only a flimsy plastic and one appeared stripped out of the box! I subsequently got in touch with the distributer ( paligap ) and they sent me a couple of spares but I'm still wary of them.' From the sharks in the penthouse,
