SPD clipless shoes

Anyone use spd shoes that are fully recessed so you don't actually sound like a horse clipping along they all seem to slightly sit proud of the shoe, really would like some quite shoes so i can use them at work?

I have some shimano ones that were about 40 quid and they are pretty noiseless. They are lace-upsEmerging from under a big black cloud. All help welcome0

I have some ones made by specialized called a 'taho' which are fully recessed - just like wearing slightly stiffer trainers!0

ok thanks but it does seem that spd shoes are not reccessed quite enough so there will always be a slight clicking noise from the shoes0

I also have the Speciaized Taho shoes which are very comfy and look ok too.

I've got a pair of specialized MTB comp, which I use with Crank Bros Candy pedals and I can walk fine with no clipping noise from the cleats.'Hello to Jason Isaacs'0

I have shimano m122 and mw80 both recessed spd's and you don't hear any clicking at all0

Thats where my shoes are different i can feel the cleats grind on the floor does this do damage to the cleats?0

Walking in road shoes has to be weirder. I cross a muddy level crossing on some days - I have to walk on my heels with my cleats fully off the ground to avoid filling them with mud. I am glad its quiet there.0
