Whcich MTB?

Hi looking into to buying a mountain bike now and im looking to spend max £300 and i have had a look around and found the following bikes just wondering what your views are?
any help would be good.

Bikes are:

1. Specialized Hardrock Comp Disc 2008 Mountain Bike

2. Kona Fire Mountain 2008 Mountain Bike

3. GT Avalanche 3.0 Disc 2008 Mountain Bike

4. Felt Q520 2008 Mountain Bike

As you can see i would like one with front suspension and disc brakes, and frame size would be either 16 or 17 inch. So please help me out and find the right bike for me!

    I bought a Hardrock earlier this year as an entry into mountain biking. Love the bike but my only gripe would be the mechanical disc brakes. TBH they're pretty crap - the v's on my wife's bike are far better. I know discs look better but I'd only go for them if hydraulic, otherwise stick with v's.

    that seems to have been my mates experance with his hard rock and mech disks. this said does mean if the rim gets a ding it's not the end of the world etc. and should cope better when it gets wet/muddy.
