Hi,
I'm looking at buying a used full suspension bike & I'm seen several Specialized XC FSR's within my budget but I'm a bit confused at the different specs available.
I've seen a 2006 XC FSR, a 2006 XC FSR Pro and a 2007 XC FSR Epic, can anyone tell me what the key differences are between the 3 models?
Is there a Specialized archive somewhere on t'internet which would tell me?
Cheers, Sunny Jim

Hve you been the the Specialized website? http://www.specialized.com
They have archives of bikes going back to 2002.You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -

I have a 2007 Specialized FSR XC Comp which I love but there is a downswide.
The rear shock lockout failed (granted after 5000+ miles and no service) but when I took it into my local bike shop they said the X fusion shock is a fairly cheap make from Taiwan and it was as much to service and repair it as a new one.
That said, the new shock (Rox Shox Monarch 4.2) was fitted and failed first go so it is on its way back to be replaced.0 -
I love the Epic's, and would be my choice of those three.
As with any full sus bike you need to check that it has been serviced properly and that any bearings that need replacing, have been replaced. The shock will also need to be checked if it has been serviced. People who look after their bike should have reciepts to show work done...jedster wrote:Just off to contemplate my own mortality and inevitable descent into decrepedness.
