Just got home and am as wet as a fish's wet bits. I knew I should have brought my overshoes. BBC forecast said dry until wednesday. At least the wind was behind me most of the way home!0

How do you manage that. No matter what way I'm going the wind is always a head wind or side onPain is only weakness leaving the body0 -

I've nearly been blown off my bike a few times now.
Being pretty light (55Kg) and on a mountain bike (20psi in the tyres), I was leaning to my right a lot to stay in a straight line.. Problem was when the wind died down, and I found myself in the middle of the road (whitelines). Thank god the roads aren't busy round here!
The roadies that were glued to my rear wheel, did not overtake me that day, they were actually struggling to keep up with me. That made me happy, as they usually sit on my rear wheel, then when we get near to work, entrance to the trading estate, where the wind dies down a little, they'll leave me for dust.0 -

I used to work the other end of town during summer months, in between college terms. Cycling to work was against the wind coming off the hill. After a hard day's heaving tons of boxes around I had to cycle home against the wind now howling off the sea. That was just unfair...but was I fit after 3 months of that.Spring!

One of the few days when i got some assistance from the wind. Mind you 28 miles into a headwind in the morning was a bit of a bummer. I have noticed that often the wind changes direction between morning and evening. Not sure how that works.0 -

i seem to notice that, but i think its just a perception, cos on the way there you probs had a good tail wind just didnt notice it, until you notice you got there quicker than normal0
