xc trails in glasgow

Does anyone know of any xc trails in glasgow preferably in the west end, im looking to go to university there next year and want to keep the xc up. I won't have a car or much money for cabs so preferably to be as close to the glasgow uni campus as possible. Thanks for any ideas.

    The only proper trails (if you can call them that) I know of are at pollok park, which is only about 20 minutes cycle from the uni campus. They are realy only good for training though as theyre not very long or technical
