How come? I've popped into the General Commutor a couple of times and it's packed.

What's happening dear Cake Stoppers :? :(

    They seem to have temporarily cornered the market in going off at a tangent into good-natured and occasionally humorous banter, perhaps; witness the recent Bovril vs. Marmite comments and discussion of Australian beers - all in the same thread!

    Yeh, commute seems to be like Cake Stop always used to be like. Its good though, there's groups of people meeting up 'in real life' and rides getting planned and some good fast moving and funny threads over there. Hell, there's even a bit of stalking like we had in the old days! I think BR is finally recovering after all the old crowd ran off crying when C+ got sidelined. Just that commute is where its at instead of Cake Stop these days.

    Sex-bingo sounds a good game - do they play that at the Mecca in Rochdale?

    No doubt with some new lines from the bingo caller;

    "Sixty-nine - lucky for some!"

    "Just fifteen, you're on a register!"

    ....and so on.

  • I agree, it does get a little slow in the winter and swings to the commuter section but it's been slow all year where this forum http://www.londonfgss.com/ is thriving and fascinating with a truly feisty open community. It's similar to the old C+ community spirit

    Ah so Commuting is where it's at now ! I thought things were getting quiet in Cake Stop so I went over to another place (populated by a lot of ex C+ bods) and joined that recently.
