This is probably the kind of stuff that goes on SCR but as I don't get to scalp anyone on my way to work I'll put it here
After much consultation with all you style gurus about what to wear to work to retain a little dignity when I arrive to work on chiily days, I ordered my "cycling specific" made-to- measure enening gown with padded bloomers from Gucci. Imagine my surprise when it didn't turn up the next day.
So I put on my cycling tights and baggy shorts and set off.
A beautiful morning
My computer seized on the way disallowing my usual attempts to scalp myself (the only option on an otherwise cycleless commute)
It meant that I sailed down Col de Asda at 12.3mph - and up the other side...
It then worked again for a few seconds allowing me to maintain a steady 22.3mph up to Mount Winchester (pretty much double my PB)
The temperature soared from 9 to 43 degrees
And I halved my total commute time to around 25 minutes.
Joking apart, it was very nice to have a break from being a slave to speed, cadence and all that and to feel relaxed enough to shout some cheery "hellos" on the way.
Apart from nearly eating a white van who looked straight at me and pulled out anyway  , it's been a good morning

Emerging from under a big black cloud. All help welcome
