Worth Upgrading?

Hi All
Is it worth upgrading the standard shimano deore shiters on my Marin Rocky Ridge to shimano xtM770 pods?
I am looking for faster shifting as at the moment my sram X5 shifters and mech on my other bike pick up far faster than the XT shadow mech and deore shifters on my rocky ridge. The shifting is precise, but compared to the sram X5 just does not initiate as quickly and feels more agricultural.
So would upgrading the shifters be a good move?

I'd say yes. I upgraded LX shifters to XT after getting XT shifters on my other bike and found a noticeable difference so I guess Deore to XT would be quite an improvement.
If you look around you can get them for significantly below RRP, think I got mine form CRC.It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -
^^Thanks, if you say a noticeable difference can be felt it might be wise move^^0

Interesting. I find Shimano slicker, and SRAM more 'agricultural'.0
