Hi,
What is the difference bertween the different xtr rear der's. I am upgrading and need some advice tyhe right one for me 960 970 or 971? Same for fronts?
Mixing xt-xtr does it matter at the top end?
Crank arm length does it matter?

970 series are the later ones. The standard 970 is 'rapidrise' or 'low normal' (mech works other way round whe npressing the shifter paddles), 971 is a top normal mech, or standard. 972 is the new low profile shadow.
960 is simply the older model.
make sure you get the right cage length.
XT and XTR can be mixed no problems.
