RS 409 vs 318

i am about to purchase some rockshox argyle 318's, but just noticed another site with the solo air 409's for only a tenner more!!!
409's rrp is around £400 so its a bargain for under 300, and lighter than the 318's.
i want to know which one will be strongest?
i would have thought that a coil spring would add some strength that air forks lack??
only other thing is the 318's are white and the 409's are mint green. would rather white but who cares if it s bargain?

both are as strong as each other, they are the same fork.

yeh but does the coil itself add any strength to the fork?
so if 318 and 409 were the same price you'd go for the 409's?forget the colour0
