£300-Which Bike please

Hi there new to the site,havent ridden properly since i was 16 and discovered Vauxhall Novas 
Anyways i have £300 to spend on a bike,ill mostly be riding the n.yorkshire moors and Dalby forests trails.Im not into massive "sick" airs or owt just want the best for the money i have.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
