This is not a isn't my bike bling thing - far from it.

Whenever I read various bike reviews i'm left wondering what is my bike like in comparision - other than very average and inexpensive.

I've just not ridden enough bikes to know how it compares to others. I've only had three bikes - a mid-80s steel Peugot (forgotton what it was like), a mid 90's Alu Ribble Audax (frame size about 2cms too small) and circa 2004 Airborne Blackbird (better than the Ribble) which despite Airborne becoming Van Nicholas is in fact alu with carbon rear triagle.

My Blackbird is a compact 56cm, U6 double butted alu front with triangular down tube, blade-shaped seat tube with rear wheel cut-out, has Easton EC70 seat post and fork, short wheelbase (99cm). It apparently has an head tube angle of 74* and seat tube angle of 73* and the frame weighs 1.58kg.

I'm pretty light, relatively good a climbs as i spin away, and use the bike for communting, sportives, the odd circuit race (cat 4). I don't think i'd like a super stiff bike as i need comfort for longer sportives. But I'd love to upgrade one day but would find it easier if i knew how my current bike actually fitted in on the stiff/comfort/nimble scale and how it compares to current bikes. How would i find an all-carbon bike in comparison for example.

I know it sounds daft not knowing exactly what my own bike is but i hope you catch my drift.
