Very quick question
The chap who's going to build my new rear wheel says that I can use a Shimano Ultegra 6600 hub with the existing 9-speed cassette/drivetrain on my Tricross.
Is he correct?
Most of the product pages I can find on the internet list the 6600 as a 10-speed hub.
Do I need to use any spacers or anything? Will the cassette just fit on exactly the same as with the current wheel?

The 6600 is 8,9,10 speed so your existing 9 speed cassette will fit it fine.

Oh, and one more quick question... On a Tricross, is the distance between the rear drop-outs 130mm or 135mm?0

does it have disc mounts?
MTB disc hubs are 135mm. New road sizes are 130mm."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I can't see any disc mounts, no.
Here's a picture of the bike:

I have a 6600 with 9 speed, it's fine. I think it's only Dura Ace 10spd that can't take a 9 spd cassette.0
