I'm changing my carbon forks. Will it difficult to remove the fork crown race from the old fork and install it on the new ones? Are special tools required? Park say use their special remover but that is not something I own.

To remove you need a large flat screwdriver assuming there is enough of the crownrace overhanging the forks and you can get away with the same when fitting to new forks though I'm speaking from experiences of steel and alu forks.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Removal can be done with a screwdriver if your careful.

To fit it, get a bit of pipe that fits round your steerer pretty snugly, use this to fit the race.

as above, big flat blade screwy to remove and a piece of plastic plumbing pipe to re-fit.
