Upgrade / equiv of DT 420SL wheels from a Stumpy

Hi All
I have an 08 Stumpy fsr with the standard DT 420SL rims and DT hubs with the twist to lock "ratchet" quick release arrangement. The front axle is around 9mm diameter and the rear is a more normal (road?) diameter axle.
I would like some ideas for a second wheelset which are of a similar quality or maybe better/lighter. I am not sure of the value of the std wheels so i am unsure of the price point to start looking. ie: are the current wheels £100 each - £200??? I dont do jumping or dropping off stuff so lighter would be OK i think.
The Mavic crossmax wheels appeal to me and the tubeless option sounds good - there are many versions so any pointers appreciated - other suggestions welcome.
Thanks
Chris

I would estimate the wheelset you have to cost 150 quid new.
I think CrossMax are expensive for what they are - a custom built set maybe a better option.
For XC, the classic XTR hubs on 717 rims with DT butted spokes is both light and durable. To really make the upgrade worthwhile, consider Stans ZTR rims.0 -

That is helpful, i thought the std set may have been more valuable but it means my new set can be less than i thought! It has given me a baseline for my "upgrade".
Custom sounds good i have had road wheels built in the past but have less knowledge of the 26" world.

Could be worth more, is an educated guess - the standard DT hubs are not the same as the 240s for example.0
