Coil forks are generally smoother than air ones.0

So what would you reccomend, the coil or air ones for an extra 60quid ish'!?

for what bike? what brake fitting?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

For my new build Kinesis Maxlight XC120. I find 100mm forks too small, and dont have anything on technical sections, so going for something upto about 120/130mm, but ETA would be helpfull so I can tone it down on the climbs.0

The frame works best at the numbers you suggest.
The Marzocchi 33 series may have the fork you want with an ETA, or a RockShox Revelation Air Uturn.0 -
what about one of the new 120mm rebas? or the Revs as mentioned above."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Yeah I was looking at the revelations. What about the coil revelations instead of the air ones? Whats the main differences? What do you think is the best?0

There isn't a coil revelation for 09 - would have to get last years which is still a great fork.
Coil is best if you want coil ;-). More uturn adjustment, smoother, but heavier and cannot adjust as easy to your weight.0 -
Yeah thats what im on about the 08 versions, and the brakes are Hope Mono M4's (postmount).0

What are the new Rock Shox Tora's like? Compared with the revelations?0
-
318 is about a pound heavier, but performance is similar (Tora stiffer and stronger with that weight).0
-
so the performance with the Tora's and 08 revelation coils are similar? :S0

if they have the same damping cartridge in them yes.
But one has a lot of steel and the other has aluminum instead."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
