Stupid rim question

Right - I appreciate this is a bit of a dim question, but what do these numbers mean (stamped on my rear wheel rim by the valve)?
16x 622 DIN VS52 5 2 3 21R
I know the 622 is the rim diameter (they're 700c hybrid rims) but what are the others? Is the 16x the rim width (which would seem a bit low given that I've 38x700 tyres on it)?
Any help gratefully received.

the 16 should be the internal rim width.
the rest i dont have the info here but i am guessing it is referring to some DIN standard.
what make is the rim?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Now you're asking :-P
The rim's not labelled. If it helps the bike is early-mid 90's Raleigh & the hub is Shimano Altus - does that makes it likely the rim is too?
