Just started commuting - any tips?

My office moved so rather than a 25 mile drive, I'm now based in the centre of Glasgow and the office is only 4 miles from my house so I cycled on on Friday, enjoyed it and I'm doing it from now on. There are showers and lockers at work so that's good and a secure underground car park with bike racks.
I'm leaving toiletries in work and on a Sunday I'll pop in a drop off clothes for the week.
Are there any essential tips you guys have? I'm planning on leaving a spare set of biking gear in the office for the days that I get soaked in the morning.
Anything else worth considering?

Sounds like you have the perfect commuting set-up
I keep spare food at work for those peckish moments and if it rains I guess I'll take dry clothes to ride home in.
Apart from that, enjoy, and see how long you can resist the silly commuter racing.......Emerging from under a big black cloud. All help welcome0 -
Yep, a spare set of office wear at work for the days you forget some or all of that too! It happens, believe me :oops:0

Get thee to an outdoor shop and buy a trek towel (large or extra large) if you don't have one. They weigh wbout an ounce and dry in no time at allEmerging from under a big black cloud. All help welcome0
