Dear all.

I’m having issues with the top of my Revelation 409 U-Turns leaking liquid from the top of the fork legs.

First time around the lockout dial side was leaking from inside where you adjust the ‘blow out’ control. Allen key.

- Sent them back
- Fixed that leg

Then...

The other leg (U-Turn and compression) started to hiss when you compressed the for from underneath the C Clip.

- Sent them back to be fixed

Still have the same problem!

Does anyone have any advice or the phone number for Sram for me to ask why it might be doing it? I don't really want to box them up and send them back as I'm loosing faith in the supplier unfortunately.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Simon

contact fisheroutdoor as they are the distributors. but they will most likely say send them in again.

  • Yes, they're dual air.

    Dear Sir

The 409 U-turns are an OE only fork that should not have been sold separately from a complete bike, all official aftermarket revelations have the 426 designation.

As you have bought those forks separately then it is safe to say they are grey imports and not covered by our U.K. warranty. You still have a warranty contract with the shop that sold them to you (****** in this
case) but as the forks are not official U.K. imports we as the supplier will not carry out any warranty work on them.

If you are unhappy with the standard of the repairs carried out by your retailer you may take your forks to another Rockshox dealer who would be able to send them back to us for inspection and servicing, this would however be charged at our standard rate.

I know this is not what you wanted to hear and I'm sure the shop you purchased the forks from never mentioned that they were grey imports. We still cannot give aftermarket support to forks that were imported unofficially and which we do not know the origins of.

I hope this at least makes things clear.

    Regards

    Chris

Looks like you've got to stick with the shop.

I've got the same fork, from Merlin, and they fixed it under warranty when I twisted the U turn past it's stop point and detached the air valve in that leg.

I'm now seeing oil emerging from the top of that leg - but haven't got round to investigating yet and I'm out of warranty.

Let us know how you get on.
