my cateye broke the grove underneith were it clips into the braket craked and broke. was riding to work and it just fell off in the middle of the road and the magnetic switch fell off, wouldn't work,,

So to bring this thread back to life i have a Cateye EL320 at 1000 candlepower does anyone know the lumen rating?
Iv'e tryed to work it out but it's beyond me!!!

someone must have made some scientific measurements of all the lights surely? Where are Which? when you need them?15 miles each way commuter (soon to be 20)

You do not have enough info to make the calculation, sorry it is not a linearly proportional relationship.
Rule of thumb, if it is quaoted in candlepower, it isn' t any good.
I make LED lights for fun, even lumens isn't that easy as different companies measure different ways.
My headtorch is ~3000lm, that is bright enough even for commuting. When driving with cars makes sure your lights are just as bright.Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?0 -
