Traffic Nearly Back To Normal Levels?

Was it just my route to work, but the traffic on my route was back somewhere nearer its pre summer holidays level today? Queues in various places that I've not seen since June/ July.
Weather was lovely, so its not the rain dodgers taking to their cars. Could it be that the end of Ramadan and Diwalhi has resulted in those from those religions returning to work/ school via motorised transport? I do live in and ride through large areas of Muslim and Hindu populations?
