Reading based rider looking for company
Hey there, I am new to this forum and fairly new to Mountain biking. I have done an introductory course a few months ago but haven't had a chance to get out since.
I am female and am looking for people / groups that I can meet up with who are happy to have a newbie tag along

Hi,
you could hook up with the guys from Mountain High in Pangbourne - they do weekday evening rides and are more than happy to have newbies. I think they also have a ladies group too.
it's ben a while since I moved away from Reading, but I bet if you pootle along to Swinley Forest you'll find a group to tag along with. Sunday morning after 10am it gets packed with riders, both sexes.

This bunch seem to have some night rides on their web-site, I might have to give them a shout too. 8)Scott Scale

I often like wondering towards Goring, Pangbourne and Reading, and so could be interested... though depends on how demanding the ride is! I'm looking for easygoing biking buddies too....
By the way, anyone know of any easy and interesting on/off road routes in that area?
Any with a good pub stop?!

Swinley has a huge selection of trails and there will always be people happy to show you around.
I showed a couple of lads round on sunday, unfortunately they had xc bikes and I'm on my freeride bike which doesn't do uphills at all !Intense Socom

Hey mate, some cracking routes for you. Basically the villages of Aldworth, Streatley, East Ilsley and Compton. You can do miles and miles around them.
There's a lovely pub to stop at in Compton called the Compton Swan, it's garden backs onto my house
Aldworth has the 4 points, and Streatley has the Bull.
it's a bit clogged up at the moment with wet/clay, but other times it's truely superb.Salsa Spearfish 29er
