    I've been commuting on t'bike in London for about 10 years now - started as a total novice and thought I would die when confronted with a wee hill.

    4 crashes (2 with cars, 2 with me bein' a fool)
    1 triathlon
    4 bikes
    and a lot of miles later I'm on my fixie for the 18 mile round trip... at one point I was rocking a 32 mile round trip but that wasn't nice.

    now I can get up a hill (but to be honest I still don't like it)

    - and I don't think I've ever worn suspenders, not on the bike anyway -
