SPD Cleats.

Do I have to use the SPD cleats if i bought a pair of shoes with them or are they ok without? the shoes i have in mind are these.

If you use clipless pedals you will need a set of cleats either off your old shoes or a new pair.
If using flat pedals no you wont but it may be a bit hairy at times on the down hill due to the stiffer soles but thats a price to pay0 -
Hi trailblazer83. I would say probably they wouldn't be much good as the sole would not be flat enough and too slippery if they are anything like Shimano shoes. They probably have a cover screwed in that would be proud of the main surface area of the sole. These may be different though so don't take my word for it. they are meant to be very grippy. The shimano DX is just as good
