Getting married 2 weeks today in South Africa - or at least still hoping to! I leave in 1 week. So far we've had to find a new minister cause the original one has been called away. My best man phoned me last week to tell me he can't be there due to problems with his wife's pregancy - understandable but frustrating and more stress. Yesterday the present for my father turns up with the lettering cocked up, can't get through to the compoany to get it reordered/replaced. AND TODAY I GET AN EMAIL FROM THE MAN MAKING OUR RINGS AND THEY WILL NOT BE READY IN TIME!!!!!

ARRGH!!!!!!!!

NOT looking for advice or sympathy - just need to f@cking scream.

NEXT time I'm going to elope!

Chill Winston! Main thing is that you and her will be there, the rest is just details, i'm sure it will go fine, if you love each other and will both be there what else matters? really? Be nice if it ran like clock-work but what in life does? It will just leave you with more storys to tell over the coming sentence....er.... i mean happy years

    ITS A SIGN

run; run as fast as you can and dont stop!
'dont forget lads, one evertonian is worth twenty kopites'
  • before you know it, she'll be "putting away" your winter gloves and you'll be asking us where they are.

when you do, it won't matter that the rings weren't ready or the best man wasn't there. just that you were.
  • Then there's the day that you wake to find that you mysteriously have punctures in both tyres that were not there the previous night!
By the way why have you bought your dad a present? Is it his birthday?

    Can we fix it?
    Yes we can!

It's payment for his daughter's hand in marriage, he bid the highest
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Sorry to hear your troubles - it really doesn't matter in the great scheme of things. Have a brilliant day!

Oh and a couple of points that your best man would have mentioned:

"A man is not complete until he is married.... and then he's completely finished!"

"Don't worry that a few things went awry... at least the pre nuptial agreement has been signed and witnessed."

"Another lemming over the cliff etc etc "

    :D

    Thanks guys.
Had a good ride on the bike over the weekend and have regained perspective. As said the really important bits are actually still all fine!

PS she's an avid cyclist too - so now worries about punctures/riding gloves ;-)
