mech compatibility

Hi just a quick question. i would like to get get the new shimano saint rear mech and am not sure if short or super short cage would work with my setup (36t at the front 11-34t casset ath the back) i currently run a medium xt mech.
Ride it hard on a hardtail

    Super short has a capacity of 23t, so your 34-11=23t will be fine. Remember you'll need to set it up for wide ratio ass opposed to close ratio (ihave no idea how to do this, but it'll be in the manual.

    The Saint SS comes set up in wide ratio. You need to remove a small shim from the mount to convert it.
    It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
