No, the disc is attached to the wheel, just whatever you do, don't accidentally pull the brake lever whilst the disc is out, it could bugger things up.

Hope Vision 1 LED light, a good charger and a load of batteries for it.
    And a rear Crud Guard.

New front light - £275

Love it to bits and been getting up extra early to make use of the dark mornings and stay late to use it off road on the way home. People at work think I'm some kind of loon

    Ooh? Why's that?
(Just curiosity, as I've never actually used a disc brake on a bike)

Only if running hydraulic calipers, it will push the pads together which make fitting the wheel back on tricky. Remove wheel and feed a folded piece of cardboard between pads just in case

Still in the post though. I'm quite looking forward to being Jamie Johnson. And having a brother.

Before that it was some thin waterproof overshoes to stop my shoes continuing to smell bad when wet. Unfortunately they failed to provide the crucial quality of being waterproof. End of them.

Almost half price :) , the reviews I've seen says it does the job.

No more lifting my bikes up with my head under the seat while I adjust the gears :P

Camelbak Blowfish, served me well in the Brecon Beacons, 3lt was plentiful on a long day riding, enough space for waterproofs, days worth of food, pump and map. Front compartment held all the tools i needed inc 2 inner tubes and allen keys etc. Lots of space and very comfortable when riding.

Topeak M1 & M2 Mudguards, very easy to fit and the quick release means its a doddle to take off and put back on. Front mudguard fitted securely and was fine when riding through the boulder fields. Once again highly recommend, nice design, flexible so wont snap, easy to adjust and take off and keeps the sheep shit out of the eyes!

Next purchase may well be the long anticipated 2009 Trek Fuel EX8! :D
  • My new pair of medium sized "Specialized BG Gel Long Finger Gloves" surprisingly arrived in the post from Evans today, having ordered them lunchtime yesterday! Bit of a bargain at 20 squids instead of RRP of 30.

Was a little worried when I opened the pack, as they looked small, but thankfully they fit fine and will get a test drive tomorrow. The padding looks pretty impressive...

    Not quite yet!

Just want to make the winter riding comfortable - helps with waiting for stuff to dry out (don't have central heating) then again - maybe I would be able to afford it if I cut back on the bike kit!!!
