What Rear Coil Shock For Orange 5AM

Hi Guy's want to buy a rear coil shock for my Orange 5AM 08 version.
This is for riding hard downhill/freeride to save my Fox RP23.
Also act as a spare shock.
I was advised on a Fox Vanila rear coil shock.
Whats the best shock to buy and reasons why would help.

Yeah whoever advised you on the Fox Van is right, no point going for something like a DHX5 as it would be overkill on that bike, and Fox are well known as the best shock manufacturer0

Orange did stick a Montou swinger rear coill 4 way shock
on a 5 in 20050 -
dont go near a manitou i had a 4way n the rebound blew on it right piece of crud if you ask me!Go big or go home!!

If hard DH, why not the DHX coil? I really think this is the wrong bike for this riding and will be a risk.0
