help choosing new bike

Looking to replace my trusty old cannondale jekyll. The bike has seen me well, the only way it is lacking is climbing out of the saddle is like riding a pogo stick. Since I've become fitter/done more road riding, I'm more inclined to get out of saddle on climbs.
So what I'm after is a fast, light, xc type fs bike which climbs without bobbing. The bike will be used for local, lake district rides, trailquests, polaris etc.
I'm thinking of
cannondale rush, scalpel
focus first
rm element
Any others I should consider?
Technology seems to have advanced quite a ot in the 10 nyrs I've had the jekyll

Lapierre X-control 410 would be worth a look if you fancy something a bit different without spending megabucks, you could prob find an 08 model for £1500ish.0
