Not sure where to post this question, so will try here:
I've just booked a mountain bike skills day & in the confirmation email it says I have to have elbow/forearm pads & knee/shin pads. I suppose I've never even considered then - mainly do cross-country with a bit of downhill/trail centres. What would you advise? Can't think I'll use them much so don't want to spend a fortune.

Thanks

It says you HAVE to have them? That's a bit off, surely? A helmet, yes, I can see that, but pads?! Or maybe if it was like DH course you were doing....

Maybe you can hire some - is it at a trail centre?

i've just bought some D3o elbow pads and some veggie knee pads. the d3o stuff is seriously comfy and more flexible than the veggie knee pads. having said that they were twice the price and both pads make you very hot very quickly.
I said hit the brakes not the tree!!
