Hey, are these any good. Because i am going to upgrade eventually to some so was just wondering if they are worth it. I cannot have disks on my bike and don't want to buy an adapter thing.

Yes, they can be very good. Bombproof, easy to bleed (though rarely needs doing), and with the right pads and rims can put most disc brakes to shame with the stopping power.0

Yes, lighter than most discs.
Still ohave the cons of rim brakes though - not so good in the wet, rims wear out and they must be true. But a viable option.0 -

not really. you are also limited to tyre width and reduced mud clearance."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

But is there any risk of damaging the rims because they squeze
the walls of the rims harder than the ordinary ones?0 -
Hi,
Yes Magura hs33's are good rim brakes, but don’t be fooled in thinking there the only hydraulic rim brakes on the market, coming from a competitive trials background were these brakes are used commonly, i know a thing or two. Hydraulic rim brakes are strong, and have amazing lock and moldation. Some echo brakes way as little as 182g each.
-They don’t limit the tyre width, im running a 2.7tyre on my trials bike.
- There over twice as light as a hope disc brake, (depends on model)
- And there much cheaper, and easy to maintain.
Have a look on tartybikes.com. They have a range of hydraulic rim brakes. Drop them an email, they are the most helpful bike shop o know of. **** link below ******
