I'm heading up from Dumfries to Glasgow for the weekend and was wondering if there are any good trails up there for my brother and i to do on Sunday.

whereabouts in Glasgow and would you travel further to get somewhere else?
Mugdock might be an option if you use the train.
If you can travel there's options out towards Aberfoyle/Callander or the Kilpatrick Hills or
Arrochar or Argartan maybe.
you could try to get in touch with Glasgow Mountain Bike Club
.........or take a much longer trip to Aviemore instead and ride the cross0 -
he stays in hyndland, not really wanting to travel to far maybe short hall. are they close to hyndland?0

i'm further west of Glasgow but Hyndland is close enough to Partick that if you want to take a train to Milngavie thats easy enough, but its only around 5-6 miles out to get to Mugdock from where he is you can muck about there ( har har) this is more family type stuff. probably not what you need is it.
that bit farther you have Carron Valley which might suit depends what you're looking for i guess. be quicker to go by car there though i think.
