Sportstracks and garmin 205

When i imported from the edge to the software for the first time (today) it only accepted the data back to august, however i have had my edge for over a year and want sporttracks to accept all of its data.
Is there any way i can do this, or a reason why it only takes some of the data?
I downloaded the latest version of sportstracks if thats any help.thanks

    This is because the Edge only holds full information for the last x trackpoints. When this limit has been reached and you do a new ride, route info for older rides is deleted within the Edge, and it then just holds the summary data for the ride.

    If you have been importing your older rides to Garmin Training Centre, you could export your TC history and import this into ST.

    thanks for the reply but im not sure thats the problem.
    Every ride i have ever recorded is still on the edge, i have not got to the stage where data is deleted due to data being more than number x.
    MAybe exporting with TC and then importing with ST will work, not tried that yet
