Tesco's bike gear?

I was in my local tescos looking for those nice 3W LED torches, and found they had a bit of a bikes section. Naturally it's all tat, pretty much, but some of it's interesting tat- inner tubes in assorted sizes for £1.60, so I got one just to leave in my drawer at work. Pump for £1  which i tested tonight and it is just about possible to get air into a tyre with it (the mounting bracket's pretty useless) so that's for the drawer too- it weighs basically nothing, so it could find a loving home somewhere. They have another pump with an integrated gauge at £7, which looks suspiciously like one of the Bikehut pumps Halfords sells for £15. And a big floor pump for £8, which definately IS exactly the same as the one I've got, which I bought from a LBS for £25 a couple of years ago. Also assorted rather rubbish lights, some half decent hi-viz. Various locks of the variety that probably attract theives, just because they consider it a personal affront that people would use such rubbish to lock up expensive bikes...
Anyway, I walked out with the wee pump, a couple of tubes, and a clip-on LED rear light for my rucksack, and some more tyre levers just because you can never have enough, for under a tenner. None of it's very good but then you don't always need good gear- thought some of this might be of use to cash-strapped beginners.

I got one of the track pumps for £8 while picking up 2 of the 3w torches. Tried the pump and it is as hard as hell to remove from my Presta valves. Thought I was going to rip the valve out of the wheel getting it off.
I take it the lever is unlocked while parallel to the hose and once over the valve you lift the lever so it is 90 degrees to the hose to lock it on to the valve?
Never had Presta valves before so not sure if this is normal.

I bought a hydration pack from tesco for about £8 and it has been fine. It was my first one so I think it could work out as a nice pack to use and get used to and then when/if it dies I may look to splash out on a better one. However so far so good and think it will last me fine.
I'm looking for some new water proof stuff at the moment and on a bit of a budget.
ANyone bought any of the Aldi, lidl or tesco clothing? You've got to burn it to earn it!!0
