my chain sounds like a rusty load of crap when it's going around the crank, but not the back cogs. Do I just need to oil the chain or clean it or could it be something else?
Cycling, it has it's ups and downs.

  • WOow what a difference it's like velvet now. :D I brushed the chain down and put a drop of 3 in 1 on every joint.

I would now degrease it to get rid of the 3 in 1 and then lube it with a proper bike lube - something like finish line wet if you ride in the wet, dryif dust is more your thing - 3 in 1 is a sh1t magnet for all things chain wrecking like grit and sand
