Reelight- a great idea poorly executed?

I think Reelight's electrodynamic induction lights are a fantastic idea as a secondary light; battery free, maintenance free, relatively cheap, fit n' forget etc.
However, I have had three so far. One took in water and the other two totally stopped working with neither warning nor obvious cause.
Whatsmore, the sealing is crap: there are visible holes between the coil base and the lens but this is easily covered with electrical tape. This isn't something you expect to do to a light designed to be permanently fitted to one's bike.
This also doesn't explain why the other two stopped working.
I ride 150 miles (on-road) every week through all sorts of weather and top 50mph daily. As such they have a fairly hard life but Reelight claim their product is "...simple, durable and reliable.." and that "The self-sufficient induction dynamo, the high-quality light diodes and the powerful neodynium magnets guarantee quality and durability."
So have I just had three duff units or are they all this bad? (A question for Reelight, perhaps!)
Has anyone else been using Reelights? Are yours still working?!

Mine are still working but I've only had them a month. The problem I had was trying to get the correct version for single speed/fixed bikes, shops kept sending the "extended" version which is for derailleur bikes. The boxes are not very clear which I emailed reelight about. Eventually I ordered them straight off the Reelight website (in Denmark?) because it was the only way I could be sure of getting the correct version.
Email them your concerns with your faulty lights as they've always sent helpful replies to me.0 -
Mine are still ok after a year on the bike, I got a box of 10 sets & sold them round the office - not had any complaints so far.My Pinarello Gallileo and Boardman CX.0

Thanks for all of your comments so far.
It seems most likely that I've just been unlucky so I'll give them another go.0
