If as is rumured, a couple of Luxembourgers and a Spaniard are rumbled in this weeks tests, it'll make for 4 yellow jersey winners being positive this year. That's got to be some kind of record.

Bravo boys.

Rumours now swirling that a certain American on a German team is one of the targetted riders, as is a much improved Austrian for a defunct mineral water sponsored team.
It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.

He's referring to a big rider on the ex T-Mobile (now Colombia) team.

Not surprised at all by the second, but the first would have huge impact

Rumours, rumours, rumours. Then again i had noticed that said rider nearly won a mountain stage this year and thought it was a bit suspicious given the reaction to his win a few years back

Up until a moment ago, I thought the team was still registered in Germany.

The actual rumours refer to a German-American team.

Can I just warn everyone, if that team do return a positive I will be quite insufferable for a while with my gloating and "told you so"

I know, I've been expecting this, I thought the news might flush you out of your retirement...

But feel free to lay into Stapleton on my behalf if the worst happens. Does Columbia make a flak jacket?

If that big rider is positive, how many of LA's former domestiques have not tested positive?

I doubt you'd need more than one hand to count them.

I think you'll just have Lance left so one finger might suffice.

    Somehow.

Levi never rode on the same TDF team as Lance.

You're supposed to be one of my many secret sources!

Let's all hope for a Columbia - I've got a righteous rant lined up.

  • Two questions arise from the current situation and in particular the rumours surrounding the American riding for a 'German/American' team.

    1. Are the riders found to have doped still liable to criminal proceedings in France? Might someone go to jail? Do we get to vote who...?

    2. What would happen to the <cough>credibility</cough> of a Colorado burrito eating team who happen to be 'presented by' H30 which is part owned by said American riding for a 'German/American' team?

The next few days could be interesting.

BTW the smart money has to be on Kohl.

The questions are utterly superfluous until the far-too-many rumours crystallise to a core of facts which may not involve either 1) or 2).

Is Damsgaard as good as ScotchguardTM?

    Today's news

“The tests are still underway, they are not all done yet,” French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD) head Pierre Bordry told Reuters on Wednesday.

Damsgaard has commented now as have CSC.

They say the riders involved have recieved letters but no one from CSC has. And Damsgaard says he'd detect CERA but has ordered the blood from the CSC riders to be tested at the Swiss lab again

    http://www.sporten.dk/csc-foler-sig-renset

Still don't explain why Cancellera said he was "tranquilo" a few days ago. He may as well have just shot at up the press conference with talk like that
