Specialized FSR XC Comp or Giant Trance 3?

Hi,

I am looking at either a Specialized FSR XC Comp 08 or Giant Trance 3 08.. They are about the same price..

Which would you suggest??

I was in the same boat, You must be me,

I only had 1000.00 max, and after long thought got the Focus Superbud.

But if thats not an option for you, giant would have been my 2nd.

It has massive reviews for the suspension and kit for the price.

But Fox and XT kit for the superbud for just under a grand, and also about 27lbs, most hardtails weigh more than that.

I am xc only so both bikes are not good for heavy use, like 10ft jumps ect..

I was in the same position back in March & in the end went for the Trance. The shop I bought it from knocked £200 off so in the end I got the Trance 2. I was also considering the Trance X3 but the shop couldn't get it for 12 weeks - that was probably the one I would have got if there wasn't a wait. I love the Trance & it is perfect for the riding I do. Goes uphill & dowhill (within reason) really well.

I did consifer the Superbud as well as it looks a fantastic bike for the money but at the time they were out of stock.

Wiggle are currently selling the Trance X3 for £95 which is a great deal.

How about the Trak EX Fuel range as well?

I have gone for the Trance 3.. Should be here this week.. Hopefully some good weather this weekend otherwise it looks like I may be getting muddy..
