i recently tried to plug a projector into my laptop but it doesnt have a 15 pin socket.
is there anything that can be fitted to enable my laptop to connect to a projector with a 15 pin socket but through my usb ports?
i dont even know what the port on the back of my laptop is, it has 4 holes arranged in a square next to 3 rows of 8 square shape pin holes, is this what i am supposed to use for connecting to an externl source?
sorry for the bone-ness of this question but i know nowt about computers (obviously)

you need a DVI to VGA adapter - it allows you to connect a second monitor...
something like this should do the trick - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DVI-to-VGA-Adapte ... 286.c0.m14
check that the ports on the adapter are the ones you want first thoughHardtails aren't called hardcore for no reason

job done thanks, 2.88 quid inc postage.
i hoped ebay would be the solution but without knowing what the ports were called in the first place meant i was p1ssing into the wind!!0
