crank length for giant trance x

Hey up u all. Ok, problem. My very nice giant trance x is a very capable xc ride. Love it for valuve, weight, spec. Was and still is the bargain of the century. Problem, The low bottom bracket. Its killing my enjoyment, For what is a great bike. Had orange 5's before. Just needed a change. The cranks on my ride are 175mm, Would, Before i buy a set of 170mm cranks, make that much diiference. HONESTLY!!!!! 5mm is a very very smalll gain in shortness. Cheers HAPPY BIKERS

Very slight difference. What about lower profile pedals? Or less suspesnion sag?
