Maybe he should leave cycling I'm sure he could have a career as a comedian.

Just seen this quote on Eurosport:

Riis said that "We were very disappointed to hear that Fränk has been in contact with people who have done great harm to the sport and ruthlessly tarnished the most important principles that we all should adhere to in the fight against doping," calling his behaviour "irresponsible towards himself and his team."

Not like he has done any damage to the sport in the past.

How can an admitted doper run a team and be respected and believed when he says his team is clean. I'm sure thats what he said when he won the tour.
When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike.
Then I realised that The Lord doesn\'t work that way, so I stole one and asked him to forgive me.

Oh what - so he absolves himself from all blame (if something nasty flies thru' the air...) even tho' he is the boss and supposedly has his new 'clean' team under close drug-watch....

How two-faced can that be?????

What do you what him to say as a team manager?that he can't say or do anything about Schleck or anyone else cos he used to take EPO

I agree JC.152, his past usage is irrelevant, especially if we give him the benefit of the doubt over how much he knew about Schleck, and especially Basso, having links with Fuentes. However, if the likes of Cancellara and O'Grady are proved to have been doping then I for one will find it hard to believe that Riis had no knowledge of it. His use of EPO at least arms him with the knowledge of how it improves performance, and of what the signs of use are. Still, all innocent until proven guilty and I genuinely hope they are all innocent.
    Take care,

    Steve.

Something along those lines would be refreshingly candid :)
