Wheelset Upgrade?

Probably not - but seems an upgrade for the sake of it, I'd keep what you have! ;-)0

Hmmm just priced it all up
Merlin are offering an XT (6 bolt hub)/X717 kit with cassette, and panaracer fire xc tyres for £210 whereas wheels alone with the XTR/X717 is £250, then adaptors for discs are an extra £30 (£14.99 per wheel).
Are the XTRs worth the extra? Its a tricky one....0 -
To make the upgrade worthwhile, I'd go for the XTR. What you are doing otherwise is a slight(ish) upgrade.0

Ok I think best bet is get the winter out of the way on the standard wheels and tyres.
Will then upgrade to the XTR/X717 and a tubeless conversion, XTR brake rotors and probably XTR brakes - if they are a worthy upgrade over the Juicy 5s.
Good idea? or do it bit by bit?0 -
sounds like you bought the wrong bike."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
